Wallowing in the mud.

IT WAS great to see so many of my followers at Uttoxeter races on Saturday. It was very muddy and the race was further than my usual distance, but I tried my very best and finished fifth. I think I would have won if the finish line was at two miles! My next race will hopefully be a little less muddy or not as far – maybe both would be nice.

#TeamFOB.

IT HAS been busy about the yard with a number of horses heading in different directions across the country, from Doncaster to Kempton and Warwick to Uttoxeter. Unfortunately, there are no winners to report on, but I think you should make a note of our lovely young horse Perfect Candidate, or PC as he’s known.

Having come third at Bangor in his first hurdle race, he is a real promising prospect.

Fergal O'Brien has got some entries coming up in the next couple of days, with my mate Gemini Ahhs going to Leicester on Thursday (February 14) and Alvardo might be going to Kempton Park to race in the Racing Plus Chase on Saturday (February 23).

#CheltenhamFestivalCountdown.

THE Cheltenham Festival is only four weeks away, I’m so excited!

Don’t forget to buy your tickets to see all of these superstars in action at the Cheltenham Festival from March 12-15. Tickets start from just £25 and can be bought online at www.cheltenham.co.uk.

Ten to Follow Team.

SIMONSIG didn’t race on Saturday due to not being 100 per cent and he may now head straight to Cheltenham to face the unbeaten Overturn.

Boston Bob won at Leopardstown and is on track for his trip across the Irish Sea to Cheltenham. It was third time lucky for Sir Des Champs who beat Flemenstar in the Irish Hennessy Gold Cup at the weekend. Sir Des Champs will continue on to the Cheltenham Gold Cup. Unfortunately, Flemenstar was found to have a lung infection so will now miss the Festival. All being well, he will be targeted at Aintree in April.
