DANNY KENT’S Moto2 machine was unveiled last week and his French-based team, Tech3, has a new title sponsor in the Maria Mallaband Care Group (MMCG), writes Alannah Fellows.

Tetbury’s Moto3 winner has spent the winter training with former World Superbike champion James Toseland in preparation for his Moto2 debut in April, under the floodlights in Qatar.

Nineteen-year-old Kent has already been tipped to be a front runner in Moto2 after finishing fourth overall in the Moto3 series in 2012 with two victories.

MMCG, a leading UK care home group, was founded by motorsport enthusiast Phil Burgan, who said: “Caring about the future of British motorsport is something that I’m very passionate about and the opportunity for MMCG to be marketed alongside the success of Tech 3 is an opportunity we couldn’t turn down.

“Motorcycle sport may be far removed from the day-to-day business of caring, however the brand exposure that we experience provides a perfect marketing platform for MMCG.

“I believe that Danny Kent has the potential to be the best British motorcycle racer of all time.”

MMCG is no stranger to the motorsport world. They sponsored Toseland in his championship-winning years and have also been a strong personal sponsor for Danny in recent years.

Kent will be out in Valencia between February 12 to 14 for the first official testing of 2013.
