MALMESBURY boxer Joe Hughes will be back in the ring on March 9 as part of promoter Keith Mayo’s programme at the Oasis in Swindon.
Hughes was forced to pull out of his latest scheduled fight – the much-heralded scrap against unbeaten Paul Archer in Liverpool at the end of November – but is now fully fit again after recovering from a hand injury.
Senior ABA title winner Hughes, 22, has lost just one fight since turning pro. His opponent at the Oasis has yet to be announced.
Top of the Oasis bill will be Swindon boxer Kelvin Young defending his Southern Area Super Middleweight Title.
Hughes’ most recent fight was at the Oasis in October when he brushed aside Mark McKray on points.
