Stow were fast out of the blocks, gaining possession from the kick-off, and after three quick phases Nick Cafearo touched down out wide on the right wing.

Bicester rallied and showed some aggressive attacking intent, but Stow's defence prevailed and stole possession after ten minutes, quickly winning a scrum on the Bicester line. Matt Green received the ball and went in under the posts to make the score 12-0 Bicester set up a period of sustained pressure in the Stow 22 only for the visitors to take a scrum against the head. With the backs showing quick hands, Ed Fanshaw scored on the left wing to make the points 19-0 in the 31st minute.

With a rare bit of possession early in the second half, the Bicester backs did score a good try before an injury to their hooker led to uncontested scrums.

Stow then kicked a penalty and their passing, running and fitness was now too much for their opponents. Alex Kelly made a good break and three passes later Tim Holmes scored on the left.

Bicester were trying to kick their way out of trouble but around the hour mark, Stow scored twice in a minute through James Ford and Alex Kelly to make the score 41-5.

From another uncontested scrum on 70 minutes, George Rodden supplied a try-scoring pass for Tim Holmes to score close to the posts and, three minutes later, Joe Nott (back from a long injury lay-off) fed Tim's brother Jamie Holmes, who scored out wide (53-5).

Cafearo had scored in the first minute and he rounded off a fine personal performance in the 76th minute, scoring a good try after a move of at least ten passes. Cafearo's successful conversion brought his kicking tally to seven out of ten in the game.
