Dan Bailey goal is enough to give Fairford all three points

Purton 0 Fairford Town 1.
PURTON'S hopes of making it three league wins on the trot were ended last Saturday when near-neighbours Fairford Town claimed all the points in a 1-0 victory at the Red House, writes Alan Eastwood.
Purton were without Johnny Coole, but Leigh Brown and James Richards were back in the squad In what turned out to be a rather drab affair on a really cold afternoon, Dan Bailey netted the only goal of the game following a corner kick in the 80th minute.
In the first half it was Purton who made all the running with Fairford only going close once thanks to an effort that was cleared off Purton's goal-line by Ryan Child.
Purton's Richard Crocker might have given Purton a 12th-minute lead but had his effort saved by the Fairford keeper and Ashley Gooch blasted over the bar after 30 minutes following a great run and cross by Crocker and Stephen Avenell had a shot on the turn blocked on the line just before the break.
In the second half it was end-to-end but neither side looked like breaking the deadlock and a goalless draw seemed a likely end result until the visitors netted.
In the dying minutes, though, Purton's Richards and Avenell both went close to scoring.
