THE adverse weather has not stopped one company from making sure local residents are kept warm.
Cyril Austin and Sons, on Love Lane, Cirencester, supplies fuel, stoves and country clothing to locals.
Despite the heavy snow which hit the district, staff at Austins were determined not to let their customers down with fuel delivery.
Delivery drivers swapped their lorry for a JCB to ensure they would be able to get to residents who lived in more remote areas.
Manager John Price said: "Our customers are very important to us and many, in particular the elderly, are unable to collect fuel so rely heavily on delivery to keep heating going."
Tracy Thomson, assistant manager, said the customers seemed very grateful for the company’s efforts.
She said: "Some people we deliver to are elderly or poorly so we didn't want them to suffer with the cold. We are their main source of heating so we had to persevere with trying to get down the roads and thankfully we managed it."
