DOZENS of young people will be running three miles through the River Coln on Saturday for Bone Cancer Research.

The runners will don wetsuits and wade upstream from The Inn at Fossebridge to Bibury Court Hotel with only the use of inflatable aids and not boats.

Joint organiser James Russell, part of a club called The Colnbury Club, said the group the same race last year for fun.

James said: "Then I heard that a friend's boyfriend, just 25, had been diagnosed with bone cancer and thought we should use our race for a charitable purpose - this year to support bone cancer research."

Almost 40 have signed up for the event and have been obtaining sponsorship.

Anyone able to donate or help, or even join the Colnbury Club, should contact James on 07866 568272.
