CORINIUM Radio is back!
The community-run station hits the airwaves for the fourth time on Friday and has a packed schedule of programmes to entertain listeners in Cirencester over the weekend.
After months of preparation organisers are eager to go live.
Broadcaster Geoff Carr explained: "It's the culmination of six months of incredibly hard work. Over the course of the weekend there must be hundreds of hours put in by individuals.
"We are a completely voluntary outfit and it's great fun. The scary part is that most of the broadcasts are live."
Some 45 people volunteer for Corinium Radio but each broadcast costs £1,200 and organisers need to raise a further £400 to avoid ending up in thered this time.
Corinium Radio broadcasts on 87.7FM. To find out more call 07907 979479 or email studio@coriniumradio.co.uk See this week's Standard for the a schedule of programmes.
