THE popularity of physics has taken off at Farmor’s school recently and this year students have been celebrating after record A’level results.
Out of 23 students at the Fairford school, eight gained the coveted A* grade, two grade A’s, with a further six grade B’s.
Amongst the A* grades was Tom Nicholas who joined Farmor’s sixth form from Cirencester Deer Park and has gone on to read physics at Oxford University, the second student in the last three years to do so.
Physics teacher David Tatlow said: “They were indeed an outstanding set of results and thoroughly deserved by the students. We have found that numbers taking Advanced Level physics at Farmor's have increased by 250 percent in the last three years.”
