STUDENTS from Rendcomb College are through to the final of a national competition with their design of an app to combat homelessness.

The Longitude Explorer Prize asks children aged between 11 and 16 to come up with innovative ideas that are of benefit to their community.

Grace Balchin, Eleni Dimopoulos and Emily Sharman make up the Tromeless Hackers and they will appearing in the national final of the competition in London with their app which creates interactive maps for homeless charities.

The aim of the app is to help combat homelessness around the country by charting where homeless people stay.
