A CIRENCESTER nursery school will be celebrating 45 years in the childcare business with a party and concert this year.

The Bingham Kindergarten has been based at the Bingham Hall in Cirencester since 1968 and owned by headteacher Janey Berry for the last 13 years.

To make the anniversary extra special the nursery is calling upon former pupils, some who may be in their forties, to get in touch with them and join in the celebrations.

Mrs Berry said: “We would love to hear from former pupils. We will have a party at the end of term to celebrate and the students will give a concert to parents and guests later this month.”

Bingham Kindergarten was awarded an outstanding award by Ofsted in 2009 and is one of just two nurseries in Cirencester to hold the accolade.

Mrs Berry puts the longevity of the nursery down to its small size and the quality of its staff. “We like our classes to be very small so pupils get individual attention. And our staff are dedicated and really do care,” she said.
