I FIND it utterly deplorable that I have to write about dog fouling.
I live in North Home Road and have been walking my daughter's dog for the past few weeks on the areas by the playing fields and Kingshill at various times of the day.
I am totally sickened and disgusted at the lack of consideration by other dog owners not cleaning up their dog mess. It is pure laziness and lack of thought for others, and lack of responsibility. The area has got so bad that it now smells and is beginning to become a health hazard. Last week, I had to wash my daughter's dog twice as he rolled in some mess left behind. It's unhygienic.
I appreciate there are foxes about but not to account for the amount of faeces that are lying about.
What is wrong with people? It takes seconds to scoop it up and bin it. On the bins a notice says there is a fine for not picking up your dog's mess. That's a laugh, as I have never seen a dog warden around this area to catch people, to fine them.
A few irresponsible dog owners are spoiling it for the 90 per cent of responsible owners.
Bins are also needed about North Home Road estate itself and also along the pathway between North Home Road bungalows and the new Kingsmeadow estate that runs beside the bypass. Something has got to be done.
