SO EURO 2012 is over, at least as far as the English team is concerned, and no wonder. How on earth can we expect our players to perform at the end of a nine month season in which they are sometimes made to play as much as twice a week?
They get only three months holiday a year, and even that is broken into. We demand too much of them as we do of so many of our sporting personalities. Please remember this during the coming Olympics. We must learn to be satisfied with small returns for small investments BILL FLETCHER South Cerney
