Thank you for the amazing jubilee celebrations

I AM writing to thank Jane Miller, Shirley Alexander and all the organising committee who spent months planning the Diamond Sparkle celebrations on Monday, June 4. I had the honour of being the Diamond Queen and I would like to thank the lovely princesses, Jade, Faith and Kadie.

I am sure the people of Cirencester add their thanks for such a well thought out day, from the parade through the Market Place to the many stalls and attractions in the Abbey Grounds, it was lovely to see so many people picnicking in the grounds enjoying the events and attractions.

The pageant telling the history of Cirencester was so well done and thanks must be given for their hard work. There are far too many people to mention individually but a big thank you to them all for making it a day for all of us to remember.

Let’s hope we will see the Abbey Grounds used like this for the town in the future JENNY JARVIS Cirencester
