Yet another nasty area for the volunteers to clear up

ON SUNDAY, June 17, as the weather was fair, I decided to have a walk in the new Kingsmeadow Country Park which from the new bridge looks very nice.

I had to be careful as I walked as the paths were covered in dog mess and whilst there two young girls came off the new estate with two very happy dogs who promptly did their toilet in a play area, this was ignored by the girls who carried on playing there.

I viewed all this with dismay. It all looks excellent in the brochures and adverts to sell the houses or to rent them out but as soon as people arrive then the mess starts and yet another area for the volunteers to clear up?

The idea of the park is a good one and the information boards make interesting reading of wildlife and new trees etc planted but be careful where you put your feet, you might end up with something nasty on them.
