Thank you to organisers of Cirencester's jubilee celebrations

MAY I, through your letters page, pay a tribute to the Jubilee Committee for organising such a fantastic celebration in the Abbey Grounds on Monday. It was great to see so many of the people of Cirencester turning out to enjoy themselves. A huge 'thank you' is due to all the committee, and participants, who worked so hard to make it a success, but especially to Shirley Alexander who held everything together with her enormous enthusiasm and usual cheerfulness.
