Malmesbury jubilee celebrations a great success

THE Malmesbury Diamond Jubilee Street Party, on June 5, held inside our beautiful Town Hall, was a brilliant and very well-attended success.

Thanks are due to Mayor Ray Sanderson and those town councillors who took the decision to move out of the rain and organised the tables and seating so quickly and well.

Everyone entered into the colourful spirit of the celebrations accompanied by two excellent sets by terrific local band, The Dubious Brothers. Every room in the Town Hall was well-filled with four generations and it was widely felt to be a superb use of this great facility.
