LAST year Siddington Road was under major roadworks, and it was mentioned that when the work was finished the road would be resurfaced. This was never completed. Yes, they did a small stretch up to Rose Way and that is great because the road there was in a very bad state of repair.

But why stop there? What about the rest of Siddington Road? When the gas pipes (I think they were gas) were laid, they dug holes every few yards all the way from the new development near Wildwood Park.

So now when you drive up and down Siddington Road it is bump, bump, all the way up the road. When you use the road two or three times a day it is very annoying and not good for the car.

Why can a job not be completed fully before the contractors move away? With the new development there are more cars than ever using the road, who are all fed up like me.

While I am on about roads, whoever decided to put the traffic roundabout on Swindon Road where it is should get another job. It should have been at the Preston Toll Bar. Now all cars going to South Cerney have further to travel. When you are joining Swindon Road from Preston, you take your life in your hands and have to be quick to join traffic going at 70mph. If coming from South Cerney Road, you have to travel to Tesco roundabout then return.

A traffic roundabout at Preston Toll Bar would have been perfect and still slowed the traffic down.

Moan over. Will it do any good? I guess not.
