THE blame for the financial difficulties of the NHS lies with the drug companies.

They are second in wealth to the oil companies.

They charge excessive amounts for drugs.

It is true that testing the drugs on animals is a very costly business but the numbers of animals used and the cost could be substantially reduced if the drug companies co-operated with one another on their findings.

This doesn’t happen because they are in competition with one another and are out to make as much money as possible.

If they found a miracle cure they wouldn’t shout about it, it would be kept in utmost secrecy so that a fortune could be made for one company only.
