VICTORIA Road is becoming a dog toilet.

Between the corner of The Avenue and the traffic lights last week, there were five piles of dog dirt, many flattened by push chairs and people’s feet.

The other side of the road also had two large piles.

This is a school route, for both primary and secondary pupils and our main road for B&Bs where our tourists stay.

What sort of an impression are we giving?

I have been asking, through Councillor Joe Harris, for a multi purpose bin for both dog bags and litter.

After two years I have had no success.

Local residents have put up signs and the council has on occasion sprayed the piles with paint but nothing has worked.

Has the time come to put up a video surveillance camera for a few weeks to catch this anti-social dog owner?

This worked in Tower Street when residents’ cars were being casually vandalised.
