IT IS good to see Lib Dem councillor Paul Hodgkinson highlighting the Conservative government’s plan to fix the A417 Missing Link.
Meanwhile, in Cheltenham, the Lib Dems have re-selected ex-MP Martin Horwood.
Before the electorate rejected him, he was the only MP in Gloucestershire to refuse to back plans to fix the A417 Missing Link.
Perhaps Cllr Hodgkinson might spend some time, before writing to the Government, making sure all his own party in Gloucestershire backs the scheme?
We cannot go back to the days when Lib Dems said one thing in Cheltenham, and the opposite in the Cotswolds, and the whole county lost out as a result.
It has only been since all six of Gloucestershire’s Conservative MPs backed the plan that we’ve made real progress in sorting out the Missing Link after 20 years of delays.
We need the whole county to stay behind their efforts.

Gloucestershire County Councillor for South Cerney
