I THINK it’s time for Cotswold District Council (CDC) to pass on the major responsibilities to the towns it has affected by poor decision making.

It appears Cirencester is the only area that CDC feels counts in the Cotswolds.

CDC and Gloucestershire County Council’s highways branch have systematically ruined Tetbury without a care for the local infrastructure by building houses to meet government plans.

It has acted without a care for the second largest town in the Cotswolds.

Tetbury’s roads can’t cope, and it lacks leisure facilities – not even having a swimming pool. Cirencester has two!

I could go on.

If CDC permanent staff on large salaries and 26 per cent of pension schemes can’t cope, bring it back to local towns to control their own futures.
