IT SEEMS that Mr Geoffrey Clifton-Brown, never one to rock the boat, whether crossing the Med or anywhere else, voted against giving safe haven to unaccompanied Syrian children fleeing a war zone.
Perhaps he should reflect that the UK fuelled this conflict by initially arming the rebels, because we thought they were the good guys.
We have long since lost control of any meagre influence we might have had.
The UK’s response to the Syrian refugee crisis has been shameful and now we sink to newer depths.
Enjoy your glass of wine with your dinner, Mr Clifton-Brown.
Don’t give a thought to these poor children.
Scared, cold, exposed to opportunists for who knows what. Not in my back yard, eh?
