DETERMINED to respond to opposition to his “legacy” of a 2,500 housing development in Chesterton, Lord Bathurst and his trust appear to have contracted with a very successful London-based public relations agency – Political Developments Ltd.
This agency specialises in representing developers keen to impose their sometimes contentious residential schemes on to sometimes hugely resentful communities.
One suspects that Lord Bathurst’s objective is to thwart or flatten any opposition from the gutsy Save Our Cirencester group.
SOC would like to see a compromise agreed reducing the houses to be built by 50 per cent.
It will be interesting to watch whether the Cotswold District Council planning committee will be in awe of Political Developments Ltd.
