I BELIEVE I have a solution to the problem of parking that will occur if building plans go ahead.
More than 2,000 houses are to be built at Chesterton, creating some 4,000 extra cars in Cirencester, and if the cinema complex and accommodation for Royal Agricultural University students is built in the Brewery car park, where no allowance seems to have been made for parking, there will be a problem.
My solution is to move the cinema/student accommodation to Chesterton, with ample car parking, which would free the Brewery car park and would give Lord Bathurst the money he seems to need and give him a more practical legacy to Cirencester.
