I WAS pleased to see Sam Wilkinson’s letter in the October 1 edition of the Standard endorsing the UKIP policy of holding local referenda to determine major planning matters.
The present free-for-all in planning is a result of the Lib - Dem/Tory coalition’s planning law that ignores public opinion in planning matters.
Make no mistake, a vote for them is a vote for over-development and the gradual erosion of green belt protections.
It seems that UKIP are the only party that is on the side of ordinary people.
