AFTER reading reports of unsatisfactory treatment at some hospitals, I felt I had to write and say my experience last week was very different.

I tripped over a step at a Crudwell hotel and was taken to Cirencester minor injuries unit, arriving at 2.30pm.

I was immediately booked in and was given painkillers to numb the pain. I was X-rayed and it was confirmed I had dislocated my shoulder.

This was very quickly put right and I was on my way home at 6pm.

I would like, through your columns, to express my gratitude to all the staff at MIU and say I could not have received better treatment.
