THANK YOU for publishing my photo of a deer in the Standard newspaper last week.
However, I sent this photo to draw your readers’ attention to the fact that the Chesterton development – where the photo was taken and is planned to have 2,350 homes built on it – is still going ahead, despite local objections.
Do the majority of Cirencester residents realise the impact this development will have on the rest of the town? I wonder how many people have actually thought this through.
How will it affect, for example, the following: parking spaces, road congestion, doctors/hospitals, employment and schools – not to mention the loss of green space.
Wake up Cirencester, otherwise you will all be saying ‘Oh dear’ when it's too late.
