AS BOOTS the chemist have offered no explanation nor apology for their dismally inadequate pharmaceutical service, may I suggest the following light-hearted options for customers queuing for prescriptions.
Enjoy your fun-packed day out in Boots in Cirencester. Whilst waiting to be served enjoy our selection of sandwiches and refreshments whilst lining up.
Failing that, bring your own whilst listening to your favourite songs on your ipod. And for classical music lovers, you should be able to listen the whole of Wagner’s Ring Cycle before being served.
For further entertainment why not play ‘Spot who has been given the wrong tablets'.
Try running on the spot to alleviate deep vein thrombosis, a common complaint for those having to stand for any length of time.
Another favourite game to play is I Spy: Spot more than one assistant serving at one time in the pharmacy.
For overnight queuing, tents can be purchased from Gardiners in the town at reasonable prices.
Come on Boots; do you really care about your customers, or should they, like myself, go to Lloyds.
