WE WOULD like to take the opportunity to remind your readers that Volunteers Week is between June 1 and 7, 2015.
People choose to volunteer for many reasons.
It can be a great way of gaining experience or skills for a new career or university place.
For some, it is an opportunity to meet others, or give something back to your local community.
Retired people have skills and experiences that we can use to support some of the more-vulnerable people living in your town or village.
Our youngest volunteer is 17 years old and our oldest is 88 years old.
Cotswold Friends support a large number of people who have become isolated due to age, health or mobility reasons.
Our services include community transport, befriending, lunch clubs and carer respite.
If you are interested in volunteering, please join us at our Volunteer Fair at Moreton-in-Marsh Library between 10am and 3pm on Thursday, June 4, or contact us at cotswoldfriends.org or on 01608 651415.

Please report any comments that break our rules.
