REGARDING the letter from Geoff Sloman (Standard, January 15), I totally agree with all he said about shops in Cirencester, including the number of coffee shops, charity shops etc.
I am in my 80s and don’t want to travel to Swindon or Cheltenham by bus. I now buy most of my clothes from catalogues where, of course, you have to pay postage of about £4.95, making it more expensive. However, there is one shop in the town that I occasionally find something suitable.
I remember writing about this matter a few years ago and nothing has changed.
