I READ with interest of the misunderstanding that occurred concerning the support or otherwise of Cllr Nigel Robbins for Mr Jupp in respect to the proposed change of bus route through the Beeches Estate (Standard letters, October 9).
Strangely enough my wife and I had a similar misunderstanding with Cllr Robbins regarding the construction of a safety barrier alongside the Tetbury Road.
At this year’s Stratton Show we were approached separately by Cllr Robbins and we both thought that he told us that money had been found and a safety barrier was to be built. When I heard nothing more I contact Cllr Robbins several weeks later to be told that he had said nothing of the sort.
Perhaps Cllr Robbins ought to receive training on improved communications as it appears that simple non-political folk such as my wife, myself and Mr Jupp are having problems understanding the message he is trying to get across.
