I HAVE just become another victim of Cirencester’s dangerous pavements.

Walking past McColl’s in Dyer Street on Thursday I tripped on a lethal combination of a raised manhole and an uneven paving slab, topped off with a patch of asphalt between the two.

I’ve now got a very deep, large graze on my forearm, which required a padded dressing, two bruised knees and a sore shoulder and hip.

I am 68 years old, quite fit and healthy, but it really shook me up. The effect on an older person could have been so much worse. Useless to report this to the council — they just want a photograph and measurements.

If you publish this maybe they will be shamed into fixing our pavements before a serious/fatal accident occurs.
