DO THOSE who run the television companies think that the majority of people just love to see people jumping, running or playing with balls?

Now, after endless sport on television during the summer months, I notice adverts for the talent show farce, when the general public are conned into believing that what they are watching is talent; the cream of pop phenomenon to come.

The discerning public are of course aware that judges, whose only claim to fame is a fat wallet, pose as critics who propel nonentities into a starstruck world of talentless wannabes. Whether you enjoy watching this stuff or not is immaterial, but please do not consider these shows as a benchmark for something of quality.
