I REFER to the letter of last week concerning the wildflowers planted by the town council on the Corinium Via roundabout on the outskirts of Cirencester. I am in full agreement in how attractive they appeared and I imagine at little cost to the council and therefore to rate payers. I was delighted to see even more wild flowers planted around the play park in the Abbey Grounds when I was there last weekend. They were on three sides of the play area and about three feet tall in places with an abundance of blooms and very colourful. They were a joy to behold and very evocative of our countryside. Congratulations to all concerned and I hope it will be encouraged in other parts of our town.
