THE cloistered calm of Ciren town, with hardly a single soul around Market deserted, empty shops, on a weekday morning, surely not?
But step outside the Market square, see the gridlocked traffic there From Hospital to Cherry Tree, its worse than London seems to me.
For Highways blokes have had their fun, closed several roads and not just one The Fosse they made one way and why, to put a footpath down one side.
To make a path that no one needs, they had to cut down several trees Destroying that beautiful avenue we used to approach Ciren though.
Traffic from one way crosses the other and that causes a whole lot of bother Causing cars to queue for quite a while with tailbacks sometimes near on a mile.
So I can’t drive in to Ciren Town, with traffic jammed up all around.
And thats why Ciren Town is dead cause we go shopping in Swindon instead.
