FURTHER to the recent coverage relating to Cirencester Signpost, I would like to provide the public with crucial information that was not reported. Firstly the comments of Cllr Mrs Rickman, lead member for finance, were not set in context in that Cirencester Town Council approved a grant of £368 as a contribution towards a summer trip for children and their families.
Secondly, the town council agreed that officers provide support and assistance in seeking to sustain this valuable service for the homeless and vulnerable.
The town council recognises the vital work undertaken by Cirencester Signpost who, without prejudice, are seeking to meet real needs of people within our community.
