I AM writing to make your readers aware that Bob and Penny Warren, from the Trout Inn, Lechlade, organise many events, some for charity but all free, for the local community to come and enjoy.
Unfortunately, these events are not well attended – including the recent St John’s Combine Charities Fete, where only four charities participated. This is a real shame, as so much work goes into arranging the stalls and volunteers give up their time in order to support their chosen charity.
Our chosen charity was Prospect Hospice, we raised £280 at the aforementioned event. We would imagine the same could be raised by other charities at this annual event.
