I REPLY to Rodney Hale’s letter ‘Hares at risk’ (Standard, May 29) as one interested in the Cirencester March Hare Festival I agree with Mr Hale this event does not convey how I feel about the plight of our hares.
I am aware that the Hunting Act 2004 includes hare coursing and hare hunting. I am also aware that the Cirencester Royal Agricultural University retain their active hare hunting beagle pack of hunting dogs, active every winter. However I will appreciate feedback from my letter to the editor, how does one legally enjoy the sport of hare hunting?
