FURTHER to my letter regarding the Christmas chalets in Cirencester, which you kindly printed just after Christmas; I am surprised that no-one from the relevant authorities has come back to you regarding this.
Whilst not wishing this to become a cause celebre, I was contacted just after Christmas by another interested citizen who advised me that the chalets were piled up in some council land at the bottom of City Bank Road in Cirencester. Upon investigation this appeared to be the case.
The plot thickens!
Perhaps now someone from the council could advise on the strategy for use or disposal of this expensive asset as it appeared to me (and my letter writing friend) that the chalets themselves were exposed to the elements and as a result would not be long for this world!
