SNOW: More bad weather on the way for Gloucestershire

First published in News by

THE Met Office predicts that a further band of snow could affect Gloucestershire tomorrow morning.

Though the weather is not expected to be as anywhere near as severe as on Friday, snow flurries and/or sleet are anticipated in the Cotswolds in the next few days and freezing temperatures are set to continue.

Gloucestershire Highways is continuing to treat key routes and secondary roads as icy patches remain a concern in some parts of the county.

Most of the road network is now passable and previously closed roads now open, but Gloucestershire Police are urging caution particularly at routes on higher ground and in rural areas.

John Kay, area highways manager, said: “Though we are expecting the county to remain relatively dry in the coming days, the chance of snow flurries into next week means we will continue to treat both key routes and secondary roads across the county to ensure drivers are as safe as possible.

“As the road network begins to return to normal, we would still urge residents to take care when travelling, especially on higher ground. We are constantly being updated by the Met Office and are prepared to adapt our plans accordingly.”

THE Met Office predicts that a further band of snow could affect Gloucestershire tomorrow morning

“predict” verb …. Say that (a specified thing) will happen in the future

So the Met office are saying definitely something may happen??

Bases covered then?
