COTSWOLD teenagers on the National Citizen Service Programme (NCS) have raised £800 for Gloucestershire Young Carers through a fete at Cirencester College and a 10km swimathon.

The team of 14 organised and ran the community fete and invited the mayor of Cirencester Andy Lichnowski to attend.

The group have also pledged to give up eight hours each of their time to volunteer at the charity, a total of 112 hours donated as well as funds. Another NCS team raised £900 for the Cirencester hospital Green Gym and will be spending time working with the support team at the hospital to help to clear the orchard.
