CHILDREN at Beaudesert Park School in Minchinhampton have been lapping up national attention thanks to their recent sporting successes.
Georgia Martin and Zoe Davison both took gold, Georgia in U12 backstroke and Zoe in U13 breaststroke, at national swimming finals organised by the Independent Association of Prep Schools (IAPS).
Zoe is a current GB national triathlon champion and has recently been selected for support by the GB English talent programme.
Beaudesert boys Lucas Sopher and Timmy Mayer have also excelled, sailing home with silver medals in the sailing finals.
Elsewhere, Bea Knight, 10, won gold at the British Modern Biathlon Championships in Sutton Coldfield, taking the lead in her class in the 50m swim and the 500m run.
Beaudesert Park School headteacher James Womersley said: “We are proud of all the achievements of the children here at Beaudesert and these recent sporting achievements are very impressive. They are the well-deserved result of huge amounts of effort and dedication by the children. Well done them.”
