AUSTRALIAN-born Henry Cronin, 8, and his Year 4 friends celebrated Anzac Day at Swell Primary School on April 25.

Pupils baked traditional Anzac biscuits and shared them with classmates to mark the day of remembrance for the Australian and New Zealand corps who fought in Gallipoli during World War 1.

Children also took part in the Wallace and Gromit's Big Breakfast fundraiser serving breakfast to the whole school and raising just over £40 for charity.

Several weeks ago Swell school twinned with a school in New Zealand, St Marks Church School, Wellington and pupils have been busy emailing their new friends and comparing schools.
