STUDENTS at Leighterton Primary School will be looking forward to story time thanks to a new outside story telling area.

And local children’s author Tracey Corderoy, whose own children attended the school, was on hand to read her new book “Never say no to a princess” to pupils from the brand new story telling chair.

School fundraisers have also been able to purchase a story telling bench.

Headteacher Jenny Kiss said: “We have been doing a lot of work on developing our outdoor provision for the foundation stage but we wanted the other children in the school to use it and came up with the idea of the story telling area. We have a lovely rural setting at Leighterton and want to make use of it.”
