YEAR 11 students at The Cotswold School in Bourton-on-the Water played host once again to 80 senior citizens for their annual Christmas lunch.

Every December Year 11 students plan, prepare and host the Christmas extravaganza for their guests.

Eve Tingle, head of Year 11 said: “Our Year 11 students host the entire event. The students decide on the menu, prepare the food, create Christmas cards and goodie bags, provide entertainment and decorate the hall.

“While the students have a lot of fun organising the event, they also consider it a great privilege to be able to invite senior members of our community into the school. Our guests are always assured of a very warm welcome.”

Lunch guests were waited on and entertained by the students, enjoying seasonal music, song and dance as well as presents.
