A COOKERY club at Southrop Primary School has had a festive 'Thyme' thanks to local chefs.
Chefs at Southrop's Thyme Cookery School Marjorie Lang and Daryll Taylor invited 20 students from the school's cookery club to cook with them.
Students learnt how to make their own mincemeat followed by filo and mincemeat tarts.
The school's cookery club is part of a £20 million nationwide lottery-funded programme that aims to teach cooking skills to more than one million children and their families.
The owner of Thyme Caryn Hibbert has extended the invitation for pupils to use their facilities each term and learn new skills using local ingredients.
