MALMESBURY woke up to an overnight art attack on Monday.
Dozens of pieces of stencil art had been placed all around the town as residents slept.
The police station, the abbey steps, the high street, Lumleys, the town hall and even the Standard office were all left a little something by Banksy-style artist Syd as part of his campaign to win a national shed of the year contest with his Stencil Shed.
“It brightened a lot of people’s Monday morning,” said Syd’s alter ego Luke Hollingworth.
He has converted and extended his garden shed to turn it into an artist’s studio and “man haven.”
Online voting in the competition runs until June 16. Log on to StencilShed.co.uk for more details.
