Man arrested after van stolen in Malmesbury while being loaded

A MAN was arrested in Hullavington after a van was stolen in Malmesbury while it was being loaded.
The victim raised the alarm after someone jumped into the front and sped off from Old Alexander Road at 4,14pm on Thursday.
Spotted shortly afterwards by a routine patrol in Hullavington, the vehicle was later found crashed.
However a member of the public managed to detain the suspected driver and hang on to him until officers arrived.
A 21-year-old Trowbridge man has been bailed until February 2 for police inquiries.
