After a long wet and cold winter the sun has made a welcome appearance.
But with temperatures due to rise to an incredible 25 degrees celsius today, it's hard to know where to go to escape, or embrace, the heat wave.
We have put together a list of 10 places to visit within 30 minutes drive of your house - to cool down, or bask in the sun.
Cattle Country Adventure Park
The Adventure Park has been operating since the early 1990’s, and has grown from a field with a few trampolines to one of the best visitor attractions in the area.
From cool barns filled with huge slides, to zip wires and giant outdoor trampolines - the park is the perfect place to spend the whole day with family and friends.
And the canoes and children's splash pool are the perfect place to coll down.

Winstones Ice Cream Shop
Set right in the heart of National Trust's Rodborough Common, Winstones ice cream parlour shop serves the popular the Cotswold business's cooling iced treats.
Eat while relaxing in the sun outside the shop, or explore the common and the breathtaking views across the Stroud valleys.

Tetbury Wacky Races
Around 3,500 people descend on Tetbury for the fantastic annual Tetbury Wacky Races, organised by the Tetbury Lions.
Drivers top 30 miles-an-hour as they brave one of Tetbury’s steepest hills and become the fastest wacky racer of 2018.
The course started at the pits stop in Chipping Car Park, carved down Chipping Street into a death-defying hairpin bend and to the Millennium Green at the bottom of Gumstool Hill.

Trees, a bandstand, a boating lake and a huge playground.
Stratford Park is the perfect place to enjoy the sun with plenty of shade and a picnic.
The nearby leisure centre sells icecreams and cool drinks, and the Museum in the Park hosts a wonderful collection of wonderful objects to occupy curious minds.

Lower Woods Nature Reserve
A beautiful place to visit, and now the blossom is out, a truly breathtaking sight for the whole family.
Enjoy a stunning walk through the forest followed by pond dipping in the river and fossil hunting.
A great place to bring the kids to tire them out and let them explore.

Jousting at Berkeley Castle
Gallant knights on horseback will be holding jousting tournaments throughout the day, as well as displaying an impressive array of saddle stunts.
Enjoy an audience with King Henry VIII and his six wives in the Great Hall at 11.30am & 2pm
There's also arts and crafts workshops, quizzes & trails too as well as the tropical butterfly house and the wonderful building and grounds themselves to enjoy.

Afternoon tea at Whatley Manor
Whatley Manor is a Cotswold manor house hotel and spa located three miles from the ancient town of Malmesbury, and serves afternoon tea and Wiltshire cream tea every day of the week.

Cirencester Fleece Fayre
Cirencester’s second Fleece Fayre, celebrating Cirencester and the history of the wool trade in our beautiful town.
There will be a traditional fair, dancing and entertainment with a modern twist on all things sheep and wool. The event will take place on bank holiday Monday, 7 May, 10am to 5pm in the Market Place.

Stroud Yard Trail
The streets of the famously alternative town will come alive with stalls, bric-a-brac, make shift art stalls and a whole wealth of other previously hidden treasures.
Last year saw hundreds take part in the event throughout the streets, gardens and hidden spaces of the town.
